This page discusses support issues and contains a FAQ discussing how to properly register the Quigley's Quest Application.

How To Register Quigley's Quest Properly

Please select the following link that you wish to read more information about:

1) How do I register Quigley's Quest?

You register Quigley's Quest by purchasing a license and entering your product registration code into the program to activate the full version of the software.  You do not need to uninstall the demo or install any new software to get the full version-- once you properly register the game, the demo version will be automatically converted into the fully licensed, non-limited version.

There is a registration application included in the installation of the program.  If you have selected the default directory during installation, the game and its files are found in the \Program Files\Games\Quigley directory.  The registration program is located in that directory, and  is called REGISTER.EXE

There is no shortcut icon in the Start Menu associated with the register application like there is for the game.

Enter the information you received on your receipt when you purchased the game, save the changes, exit the registration application, and launch Quigley's Quest.  You should not see and Demo messages or reminder screens, and will have full access to all the levels of the game.

2) I've registered, so why does it still say it's a demo version or it has expired?

You must type in your names and product code EXACTLY as it appears in the email receipt and in the proper format.  The following screenshot shows the format of the information:

Note that you must include the dashes in the order number and the serial number.  Also, they both consist of the numbers 0-9 and the letters A-F only.

Be sure to save the registration information and Exit the Product Registration application before attempting to run the game.

3)  I've purchased a license for the game, where do I download the full version?

You already have it!  The demo version is also the full product version.  The key to unlocking the full version is to properly enter your product registration code after purchasing the game.  You do not need to re-install the application in order to unlock the demo version.  Once the product is registered, you have full access to the complete game, without any "nag screens".

4)  I installed an update to Quigley's Quest, but it now says it's a demo version.  What gives?

You may have overwritten the license file that holds your product activation code.  The file is called SERIAL.TXT and should be located in the installation directory.  Unfortunately, you will need to re-register the program using the product registration code that was given to you at the time of purchase.

5) How do I view my license information?

Run the REGISTER.EXE application or view the SERIAL.TXT file using PocketWord.  These files are located in the installation directory of the application.

6) Why does the license look outdated or for an older version?

When you purchase a license, it will indicate for instance that it is for the Quigley's Quest 1.X version.  This indicated that this license will work for any version that starts with "1".

This is normal and has been designed to keep you from having to enter a new code for every small patch update.  The 1.x license is would therefore be good for a 1.01 or a 1.1 or 1.2 version that may come out in the future.  Note that if there ever is a 2.0 version that has been released, and your license file indicates 1.X, you would definitely need a new code once the new version gets installed.
